Pragmatic Meet Terms of Service

1. Definitions and Mission

1.1. Pragmatic Meet is a free platform for organising local and online events, serving communities that share knowledge, experience and passion in a professional and developmental context. The purpose of the platform is to facilitate community collaboration and growth, and to build educational and networking value while maintaining the highest standards of professional culture.

2. Conclusion and Termination of the Service Agreement

2.1. The agreement for the provision of electronic services is concluded at the moment the User begins using the Platform, or, in the case of services requiring an Account, at the moment the User creates an Account.

2.2. The User may cease using the Platform at any time. A User who holds an Account may request its deletion via the function available in the Account settings or by contacting the service provider at: [email protected]

3. Use of the Service

3.1. The Platform is free of charge for all users and group organisers.

3.2. Creating groups, organising events and moderating communities require approval by administrators/moderators.

3.3. Every person using Pragmatic Meet undertakes to comply with these Terms of Service and the rules of social conduct.

4. Technical Requirements

4.1. Use of the Platform requires:

4.1.1. a device with internet access,

4.1.2. an up-to-date web browser,

4.1.3. an active e-mail address — when registering an Account,

4.1.4. cookies or similar technologies enabled to the extent necessary for logging in and the proper functioning of the Platform,

4.1.5. JavaScript enabled, where required for the proper functioning of certain Platform features.

4.2. Use of certain Platform features may require creating an Account and logging in.

4.3. Restricting or disabling necessary cookies may prevent the use of selected Platform features, in particular logging in, Account management, joining events or managing groups.

5. Creating and Managing Groups

5.1. A User may create a thematic group following registration and approval by a moderator.

5.2. Groups are used to organise events, manage communication, moderate activity and export data (e.g. participant lists).

5.3. Only group administrators have the ability to create and publish public events.

5.4. Participation in groups is voluntary and requires acceptance of an invitation.

6. Publishing Content and Participating in Events

6.1. Pragmatic Meet is a professionally oriented platform. We expect that events organised through the Platform will have a professional, industry-specific, educational, scientific or networking character (related to career or business development).

6.2. Administrators reserve the right to verify the nature of events and to remove events that are inconsistent with the profile of the Platform (e.g. private social gatherings, political rallies unrelated to substantive debate, events of an exclusively religious nature).

6.3. The service strictly prohibits publishing content and organising events that:

6.3.1. promote hate speech, racism, xenophobia or discrimination on grounds of gender, sexual orientation, religion or national origin,

6.3.2. offend the religious or philosophical sensibilities of others,

6.3.3. incite violence or unlawful conduct,

6.3.4. contain pornographic or erotic content.

6.4. Pragmatic Meet reserves the right to immediately remove content that violates the above standards and to permanently block the accounts of its authors without prior warning.

7. Privacy and Personal Data

7.1. Pragmatic Meet does not sell or transfer personal data to commercial entities.

7.2. User data (e.g. e-mail address, interests, marketing consents) will be processed solely for the functional purposes of the Platform and, upon the granting of appropriate consents, for industry, informational and educational communications.

8. Marketing Consents

8.1. The User may consent to receiving information about events, industry news and educational materials from Pragmatic Meet and Pragmatic Coders.

8.2. Withholding consent to marketing communications results in notifications being limited to necessary functional information.

9. Platform Software

9.1. Pragmatic Meet is proprietary software. The source code of the Platform is not publicly available, and all rights to it are reserved by the service provider.

10. Intellectual Property Rights

10.1. Content published by users remains their property; Pragmatic Meet obtains a non-exclusive right to display it within the Platform.

10.2. Publishing content that infringes copyright, rights to one's image or other third-party rights is prohibited.

11. Moderation, Feedback and Development

11.1. Moderators have the right to remove content, block accounts and amend the rules in the event of a breach of the Terms of Service or conduct that is harmful to the community.

12. Liability

12.1. Pragmatic Meet is not liable for any damage arising from use of the Platform, technical failures, errors or operational limitations.

12.2. The service is provided "as is" — without any guarantee of uninterrupted operation and without any obligation to verify all content published on the Platform.

13. Account Closure and Data Deletion

13.1. The User has the right to close their account and to request the deletion of their data from the Platform.

13.2. Pragmatic Meet reserves the right to delete the accounts of users who breach the Terms of Service.
