Pragmatic Meet step by step

From creating an account to walking into the event. See what using the platform looks like before you decide to join.

  1. Create an account

You start with an account — via LinkedIn or a regular e-mail. It takes a moment and costs nothing.

    • Choose LinkedIn or e-mail — no fees, no commitment.
    • You give your full name only when an event requires it — you'll see that before signing up.
    • You can turn off every e-mail from the platform in your account settings.
  2. Join a group

A group is where a community meets: events, posts and conversations in one place.

    • Browse groups and join the ones that interest you.
    • In a group you see upcoming events, posts and discussions under events.
    • Administrators get a full toolkit: creating events, moderation, attendee lists and the QR scanner.
  3. Sign up for an event

Signing up happens in a single window — no clicking through page after page.

    • Click "Sign up" on the event page.
    • If the organizer requires it, you accept the event terms, give your full name or answer a short survey.
    • If there are no spots left, you go on the waiting list.
    • After signing up you add the event to your calendar, and the reminder brings a ticket with a QR code.
For group administrators

Tools that do the organizing work for you

Analytics, data export and QR-code tickets are waiting in the panel of every group and every event. No plug-ins, no integrations, no extra fees.

Analytics

Know what really brings people to your group

Group and event statistics show where visitors come from, how many of them stick around and who actually turns up. You plan promotion on numbers, not gut feeling.

  • Member count and a day-by-day chart of new joins.
  • Visits, sign-ups and joins from every source in one view.
  • Who signed up and who attended each event — including the online stream.
  • UTM-tagged links

Generate an event link tagged with your campaign and see how many sign-ups a post, newsletter or ad brought in.

  • Referring sites

Check whether people find you through LinkedIn, a search engine or a message from a friend.

  • Referrals from other groups

See which communities on Pragmatic Meet bring new members your way.

  • Any time period

Compare the last week, quarter or the whole year — charts and tables update instantly.

Data export

Your contacts, your tools

One click downloads your attendee list so you can take it wherever you work every day — a CRM, a mailing tool or a spreadsheet. We don't lock your community in.

  • The CSV file opens in Excel, Google Sheets and any CRM.
  • Accented characters display correctly as soon as you open it.
  • Take your data with you at any time — including when you switch platforms.

What's in the file

  • E-mail address
  • Full name
  • Sign-up status
  • Sign-up date
  • Attendance
  • Survey answers
  1. Open the attendee list

It's in the event panel, next to the scanner and the statistics.

  2. Click "CSV"

The file downloads right away, named after the event.

  3. Import it anywhere

Add the contacts to your newsletter or CRM, or move the group somewhere new.

Tickets and QR scanner

Tickets send themselves, and you check people in with your phone

Every attendee who signs up gets a ticket with a QR code — in the sign-up confirmation and in the reminder before the event. At the door you scan it with your phone and attendance is recorded automatically.

  • A QR-code ticket in the e-mail and as a PDF, ready to show or print.
  • The scanner runs in your phone's browser — nothing to install.
  • The attendee list shows who is already here, in real time.

How to use the scanner at the door

  1. Open the scanner in the event panel

The "Scan tickets" tool is always in the panel of a published event. Only people who manage the event can open it.

  2. Allow camera access

Your phone asks for permission only once. If you decline, you'll see a hint and can ask again.

  3. Point your phone at the ticket code

You scan one person after another without reopening the scanner. Attendees don't need to be logged in on the phone they bring.

  4. Read the result and tap "OK"

The result stays on screen until you close it, so nothing slips by. Then you scan the next person.

What you'll see after a scan

  • Confirmed

You see the attendee's name and their attendance is recorded.

  • Already used

The code has already been scanned. You see when and whose — the first check-in stays as it was.

  • Wrong event

The code belongs to another event. We don't show a name and record nothing.

  • Not recognized

Unknown or damaged code, or the attendance was cancelled or is on the waiting list.
